Will the impact of your company be here in 30 years?
The answer is yes, if you support projects and brands that aim to make a difference for others. Business owners are often asked to contribute to local initiatives, but many business owners like myself are part of organizations working toward solving issues worldwide. By working together, there are ways to increase the reach of your company for years to come. When you partner with brands that offer additional value, the impact will last beyond Small Business Week.
Today I'm sharing a brand that helps individuals & families live a better, safer life.

After dealing with serious waterborne illness first hand, Helmi & Mehreen, co-founders of Woman-Owned GROSCHE brand decided to dedicate their lives to giving safe water to those in need. Founding the company is 2006, with mission & vision to change the world, they applied profits from their sales to fund the GROSCHE SAFE WATER PROJECT. They installed water filters in economically underdeveloped regions without access to safe water.
When you purchase a GROSCHE product, you’re funding 50+ days of safe drinking water for someone in need via the GROSCHE Safe Water Project.
The Safe Water Project (SWP) provides people in need with safe drinking water through the construction and installation of Biosand water filters. These filters purify water for a family up to 10 people and can last up to 30 years. Your purchase also provides a more stable economy, by empowering sustainable development. The filters funded by this company are locally made and serviced, using local materials and built by local people. Local people not only install the filters funded through GROSCHE , but also sell filters in the community providing income & employment in these communities.
As a Rotarian, it's been a common goal of clubs worldwide to assist with clean water initiatives to help prevent disease; read more about the efforts here.
The concept behind the filters is simple. The filters are sustainable for the communities, since the materials and skills necessary to construct don't require chemicals, electricity, or any replacement cartridges. They are made of cement or clay, and only use gravel and sand to biologically purify water so its safe to drink.

Each filter lasts up to 30 years, and purifies water for a family of up to 10 people, that's a huge impact and changes generations of peoples lives for the better! Biosand filters work in warm and temperate climates. The filters are located in remote mainly agricultural areas (with no access to electricity) in South Sudan, Uganda, Malawi, India, Pakistan, and The Philippines.
Popular tumblers in our collection include these profiles & sizes. New products coming to the website soon, but available now includes an Expresso Maker! We recently previewed this line in our showroom. Each product comes with an insert card outlining the story behind the brand.

These products are well made, with quality construction that feels good in the hand at a very affordable price. Besides giving back to the filter project, this company is a certified B Corp and Woman- owned!
