I admit it, I've been Christmas Tree obsessed for years! Each Christmas our family gets a "Tim Taylor" tree to fill our home with the smell of pine and to hold all the ornaments. When I say all the ornaments, I mean boxes of them! Before moving to our townhouse, we used to decorate 7, yes 7 trees all over our home. Many of those trees were theme related, including sports, handcrafted ornaments from the kids, sparkling & glittering for the formal areas and of course, the main tree was packed with hundreds of ornaments collected over the years. In fact, I'm such a fan of trees, I deserve a holiday button to wear! Maybe I should start my own Christmas Tree Lover's Club! Would you join? Ornaments also make a great mailer. Yes! Really! - A Sign Of The Times
This past week, the Apex Public School Foundation started distributing the yard signs we made them for area lawns. We may not be able to gather in large crowds, but these little mini billboards dot our landscape. We think of yard signs during political seasons, mostly because we can't wait for them all to disappear, but signs are a useful marketing tool. Yard signs are useful not just to show support for a cause or a campaign, but to let neighbors know who's doing the fabulous work at your home for landscaping, hardscapes, painting, or other home improvement projects. While an effective tool both long and short term, a larger yard sign is not for everyone. What are some additional options for getting out the message? Mini- signs- the type you might see if your lawn has been treated for pests- well those are an effective tool for an open house, a message you'd like to convey, but most importantly those signs are small enough to display in your office, in a plant or display behind you in a Zoom call. Thinking outside the box should be the mantra for 2020, because it's our creative ideas that are keeping us all sane! If you have a large window or glass door in your business, display a sign to show support. Back in May 2007, when we started the business, we realized that selecting products that respond to your touch means- touching them to compare prior to ordering was a key component. Quickly it became clear, we needed a brick & mortar location. We moved into one small room back in December of 2008. Over the years, we expanded to 3 rooms in that location in historic Downtown Apex- above our buddies at Anna's Pizzeria. The most popular question, no, we could not smell pizza all day. Our spaces were crowded, but we made them work because we were renting & wanted to stay in the downtown area. Then in 2018, we moved to our current location- which is on our "tour today". Let's watch

The power to connect and change consumer behavior is a power tool- and our partnership towards new trends & products is your secret weapon! Did you know promotional products are one of the oldest forms of advertising; dating back to George Washington's presidential election in 1789? Promotional products are designed for staying power, and industry research has proven their influence as an effective advertising medium. They are built to leverage the greatest reach, drive recall, and resonate to engage the best reaction among consumers, relative to any other advertising vehicle. Not only cultivating positive reactions, but 81 percent of consumers also keep promotional products for over a year, and 53 percent use these products at least once a week — meaning they are seen as useful. No other advertising media have a shelf life of 365 days or more and garner a response of “thank you” when received by target consumers. For instance, branded online pop-up stores are cropping up, as marketers turn the traditional popup shop tactic on its head. Brick-and-mortar retailers are now bringing consumers limited-time items in the form of online pop-up stores, where they can purchase exclusive promotional products without having to leave the comfort of their homes. Companies such as KFC, Taco Bell, and McDonald’s have all tapped into this promotional strategy to transcend their original product offering and provide consumers with a sense of identity and community. Another recent case of industry innovation is seen through the introduction of near-field communication into the advertising medium, which has allowed consumers to delve deeper, view customized rich media, receive targeted special offers, share experiences and make a purchase — all through their smartphones.
